PCMM staffProcurement, Contracts and Materials Management (PCMM) is a unit within Business Affairs which falls under University Finance and Administration. We support the University mission by providing effective management of OSU’s resources. Whether it’s purchasing a system that’s vital to an academic unit’s success, solidifying meaningful collaborative efforts through a contract, leading the way towards zero waste and effective sustainability or finding a home for a unique piece of equipment, the PCMM staff are dedicated stewards who are committed to effectively managing OSU’s resources.

Procurement and Contract Services

Procurement staff at the Supplier ShowcaseProcurement is dedicated to helping departments in obtaining best-value procurements in a manner that is professional and managed with integrity. Procurement manages the competitive processes and establishment of contracts and purchases that provide cost-effective procurement and facilitate supplier relationships that are mutually beneficial to the University and Contractors. Procurement focuses on finding effective procurement solutions.

Procurement is committed to being a leader in supplier diversity by providing the greatest possible procurement and contracting opportunities through outreach and education to both suppliers and the OSU community. Our goal is to create effective business solutions for OSU through opportunities with diverse suppliers.

Contract Services is the administrative office that advises and guides Colleges and Departments in meeting their contracting needs. Contract Services focuses on OSU contracts that facilitate business transactions outside of procurement, real property, construction and research. These include, but are not limited to, academic affiliations, study abroad, collaboration for non-research activity,Photo of a CPCA project building testing services, internships/work-study and host site agreements.

Construction Contract Administration (CCA) manages all construction-related procurements and contracts for the University. These can range from direct-purchase level Purchase Orders that are for furniture and installation to multi-million dollar capital planning projects. CCA works closely with Capital Planning and Development and other OSU organizations to plan and develop these procurements. 

Materials Management

testSurplus Property manages excess or surplus property by routing it to other OSU departments, state and local governments, qualified nonprofit organizations and the general public. Surplus Property’s  goal is to shift OSU assets and property away from the waste stream, facilitating further use or repurposing for those who can utilize the surplus items. Surplus Property also manages campus Lost & Found and small campus moves.

Campus Recycling develops and maintains a cost effective and efficient waste management program that focuses on reducing, reusing and recycling with trash disposal as a last resort. In addition to providing waste management services we are engaged in outreach, coordinating educational activities and the student club the Waste Watchers.
