The Master Recycler's Class is on Pause, please contact Kenny Larson, Municipal Administrator/Education & Outreach for Republic Services, with any questions you may have
Would you like to learn all about waste reduction, reuse, and recycling to create change in your community? Republic Services of Corvallis and OSU Campus Recycling sponsor the Master Recycler Class, a nine-week program that explores waste reduction, reuse opportunities, landfill science, recycling, composting, hazardous waste, community sustainability and taking action.
This non-credit class is free to residents of Linn and Benton County who agree to “pay back” what they learned by completing 30 hours of volunteer service educating and engaging others, within one year of course completion. Volunteer opportunities are as varied as staffing a booth at local events, leading recycling workshops, volunteering with local reuse agencies and more.
Class space is limited.
The 2022 class will be hosted Tuesdays, October 4 - December 6, at 6-8 pm in-person on the OSU campus (excluding November 22 for Thanksgiving week). There will also be two required weekend field trips and one optional weekday tour (details TBA).
