Republic Services of Corvallis and OSU Campus Recycling sponsor the Master Recycler Class, an eight-week program that covers all aspects of waste reduction.

This non-credit class is free to residents of Linn and Benton County who agree to “pay back” what they learned by completing 30 hours of volunteer service within one year of course completion. Volunteer opportunities are as varied as staffing a booth at local events, leading recycling workshops, and volunteering with local reuse agencies. Class space is limited.

2017 Class Schedule

The 2017 class will be held on these dates on the OSU campus (classroom TBD):

  • 8 required classes on Tuesday nights, January 10th through February 28th at 6:15-9:00 pm
  • 2 required Saturday field trips (one on January 21st, 9 am - 12:30 pm and one tentatively on February 11th)
  • 1 optional weekday field trip on Wednesday, February 1st at 8 am - 3 pm

2017 course materials will be made available in late December or early January. In the meantime, 2016 materials can be found on the Course Documents page.
