It's not just about buildings... Twice awarded "Tree Campus USA" status by the Arbor Day Foundation, OSU also strives to restore habitat, protect waterways and create additional green spaces around campus.

University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS) tries to make their activities and services as sustainable as possible. To see what UHDS is doing in their facilities, which include three large dining centers, please see their sustainability page.
There are a number of restaurants in Corvallis that support local agriculture and have implemented more sustainable practices at their businesses. The Corvallis Sustainability Coalition issued a list of restaurants that strive to use ingredients from nearby counties.
OSU strives to decrease its landfill-bound waste by reducing, reusing and recycling; Campus Recycling spearheads these efforts. Please help us keep our campus beautiful by reducing what you need to throw away, and properly disposing of what does need to be discarded.
