Defined as the set of basic principles formulated under the authority of the Controller’s Unit, to mitigate non-compliance with legal, statutory, regulatory and financial requirements as well as provide clear guidelines and standards for decision making.

Changes to policy that have a significant impact. Defined as the addition of, or change to, policy content that may affect or alter requirements, context or the scope and applicability of the policy.

minor revision
Changes to policy that have no impact on the intent or scope of the policy. Defined as a change that provides clarification of current practices or removes information that is no longer relevant.
- Requires approval from the Policy Steward and the AVPFC.
edits
Typos, errors and similar that will not change the context of the policy. Defined as links, grammar, punctuation or terminology updates.
- Requires no formal approval, but must be processed by the Fiscal Policy Officer.
