Cost share is that portion of the research expenses that are paid for from State resources. If you have included cost sharing in your proposal and the proposal is accepted, the cost share becomes a requirement of the agreement.
Check your cost share indexes monthly to assure that the required amount is being met. Your office manager and Amy Manselle can help you.
Do not include any resources provided by granting agencies in your cost share. Items provided by federal sponsors are ineligible for meeting cost share requirements.
"IN-KIND" contributions may be used to meet cost share requirements, but they must be carefully documented. Contact the Business Office if you intend to use such contributions.
