Project Description

The Hatfield Marine Science Center High Ground Housing Project will provide 77 units of workforce-style housing in Newport, Oregon for primarily upper division and graduate students as well as OSU staff, faculty and other professionals. The building will contain a total of 82 bedrooms in primarily studio apartments along with a few two bedroom apartments and/or other floor plan options.
The housing complex site is located on five acres in the Wilder development, approximately three-quarters of a mile from the Hatfield Marine Science Center. The site includes additional land which will be transferred to the City of Newport for a public access trail. Design and construction of the trail will be completed in collaboration with the City of Newport.
