Photo by Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering

Merryfield Hall is a 27,329 square foot building constructed in the 1920s and has been used for research and instruction within the College of Engineering. The renovated space (12,000 square feet) will house some of the faculty and graduate students of the School of Nuclear Science and Engineering. The project will provide laboratories for the clean water initiative and chemical engineering teaching, add flexible classroom space, and renew a university classroom. The goal for the renovation is to increase the efficiency of use of the building; provide adequate and accessible laboratories, classrooms, and offices; update the fire alarms; and install fire sprinklers.
