Oregon State University and Linn Benton Master Recyclers are inviting students to bring items they will no longer want or need to a drop-off event at the end of the school year!
With 2020-2021 as outliers, OSU has generally been increasing the weight of donations since 2010.
In 2021, we received donations of 2,711 pounds and around 150 pieces of furniture at the Off-Campus Donation Drive alone.
How to Donate
The donation drive will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday through Monday, June 12-14, 2021 at the parking lot just north of the OSUsed Store (644 13th Street), near 13th and Washington.
What is accepted: furniture, electronics, food (sealed and non-perishable), books, mattresses, linens, school supplies, clothing, shoes, kitchenware, household appliances and other reusables goods may be donated. Items should be clean, dry and in good repair or working condition. Donated items will go to local nonprofits for reuse.
Volunteers will direct donors to areas in the parking lot where items will be unloaded and sorted. Donors are asked to please remain in their vehicles until invited to unload and maintain physical distancing. Because 6+ feet of distancing may not be maintained during unloading, please wear a face covering while attending the event, per OSU policy.
Join the event on Facebook for reminders and updates.
The event is sponsored by the Linn Benton Master Recyclers, OSU Community Engagement & Leadership, OSU Materials Management and ASOSU.
