How-to's instructional graphic

Look for labeled donation carts placed in your hall by the end of week 8. Donation carts are located on the ground floor of each residence hall (2nd floor in Halsell).

See below guidelines on where to put your stuff!

Food

Must be sealed & non-perishable.

Personal Hygiene and Cleaning Supplies

Soaps, lotions, unused deodorant, laundry soap, spray cleaners, cleaning wipes, etc. Bottles can be unsealed if mostly full.

Clothing, Towels, Bedding

Must be clean, dry & in good condition.

Household Items

Decor, dishes, lamps, etc. Items must be clean, dry, and in working condition. If your item does not fit in the donation bin, place on the ground next to the bin. See large furniture guidelines below.

Large Furniture

Place all large furniture that doesn’t fit into donation bins, next to your outdoor trash dumpster, on the ground.

Broken Electronics, Ink, and CDs/DVDs

Electronics, CDs & ink cartridges will be recycled if they are not reusable. CDs and DVDs must be in their cases. If your item does not fit in the donation bin, place on the ground next to the bin.

Bicycles

Place unwanted bicycles next to donation bins.

Recycling (Paper, Bottles & Cans, Cardboard)

As usual, all cardboard needs to be taken outside. Place other accepted recyclables in the Bottles & Cans and Paper containers inside your hall -receptacles, including extra large carts added in week 9, located on the ground floor in most halls (floor 2 in Halsell and floors 2-5 in the ILLC).

Trash

Any items that can’t be donated or recycled should be taken to the outside dumpster/compactor.
