Who are the Waste Watchers?

Waste Watchers conducting a waste auditWaste Watchers is a group run by Campus Recycling whose mission is to engage students and the community in waste reduction at OSU by providing educational programming, meaningful opportunities for action, and empowerment of future leaders.

    Waste Watchers Winter Meet 'n' eat

    • When: Tuesday January 14 from 6:30-7:30 pm
    • Location: Student Experience Center (SEC) Room 250 (CEL Office)
    • Come on by to nosh on free pizza and meet fellow people who share your interests in sustainability and learn about our waste fighting squad!

    Waste Watchers WInter Weekly Meetings

    • When: Tuesday's from 6:00-7:30 pm (no meeting on March 3rd)
    • Location: Student Experience Center (SEC) Room 250 (CEL Office)
    • Join the league of the Waste Watchers - using our knowledge of recycling and sustainability we can educate others and fight the scourge of waste! Stay in the loop by joining our Facebook group

    Volunteer at the Repair Fair

    • When: Winter term; dates and time to be determined soon!
    • Where: OSUsed Store (644 SW 13th St.)
    • The repair volunteer form is for people with repair skills who would like to showcase their skills and teach attendees how to repair their broken or damaged items. You can also use this form if you would like to shadow someone skilled in a particular field, just make sure to include “I would like to shadow” in the comment section.
    • Support volunteers help the fair run smoothly and perform tasks like setting up and tearing down the event, tallying the number of attendees and photographing the fair.
