Student Organizations
500: Activity Reporting
Effective: May 4, 2016
501: Sponsored Student Organization (SSO) Activity Reporting
SSO’s must submit an activity report through the Student Org Database in advance of any SSO activity, including travel and fundraising. Prior to execution, the activity must be reviewed by the SSO’s Advisor to ensure compliance with OSU fiscal policies, risk and loss mitigation, and adherence to applicable OSU Standards and Policies, procedures and guidelines. Such reporting facilitates the visibility of the activities to the community and to OSU’s Office of Risk Management and Department Public Safety, as well as other OSU offices that may be interested in the activity.
502: Voluntary Student Organization (VSO) Activity Reporting
To receive benefits of recognition, VSOs must submit an activity report through the Student Org Database in advance of any activity taking place on OSU property. This information will be used to track student engagement as well as facilitate visibility of activities on OSU’s campuses. This will also allow Student Leadership and Involvement opportunity to provide information regarding hosting campus activities. Submission of report does not indicate sponsorship by Oregon State University.
