Welcome to OSU!

Now that you're here, there are lots of options to get where you need to go!

Corvallis is ranked as a Gold Bicycle Friendly Community - with its linked bicycle facilities and relatively flat terrain, almost any trip can be accomplished by bicycle in less than 15 minutes. Additionally, Corvallis is Gold-level certified by Walk Friendly Communities, which makes walking a popular and safe option to get to campus. The Corvallis Transit System operates a fare-less bus system with multiple routes serving OSU and the surrounding areas.

You can purchase parking permits online or hourly parking permits from one of the many pay stations on campus. Metered Parking

Metered parking is available on campus 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday-Friday. Permits are not valid in metered spaces. You can pay for metered parking with the Passport app. Look for directions on the meter head.

Carpool and Vanpools

Interested in sharing your ride to work and saving money on parking permits? You can look for other potential carpoolers using Get There, a new statewide carpool matching site. Register and join the OSU-Corvallis Network to find other Beavers to share your commute. Valley Vanpool offers vanpool service to OSU from surrounding communities. Join an existing vanpool or consider starting your own.

Per university policy, department funds may not be used to purchase permits for personally-owned vehicles.

“I’ve always had a great experience start-to-finish with OSU Motor Pool. I frequently reserve vehicles and their convenient, central location makes pickup and drop off easy. I also appreciate Justin’s and his team’s interest in our marine studies program. They’re a great team player at OSU.”

— Jack Barth, Executive Director, Marine Studies Initiative

“On behalf of COE, I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you and your office for working with us to reserve the small gravel lot by Kearney for our two recent industry visits. Having that lot available for these large visits was hugely impactful. The HP engineers who came earlier this week actually almost broke out in applause during the meeting, they were so happy about the parking. Thank you for your collaboration.”

— Brad Canfield, Outreach Programs and Event Manager, College of Engineering

“Using the Linn Benton Loop this past year has allowed me to save three tanks of gas per month. I put the gas money I saved in a ‘No Regrets’ savings account and used it to pay for a three–week journey on Route 66. Not only do I save money and reduce my carbon foot print using the Loop, but I have met interesting community members and know many of the riders and drivers by first name.”

— Rae DeLay, Materials Manager at Procurement, Contracts, and Materials Management
