Requests for Signature from the Vice President
Please coordinate in advance with Executive Assistant Andrea McDaniel to ensure that your materials can be signed in a timely manner.
Requests and documents should be sent via DocuSign.
- For DocuSign requests, please make Andrea McDaniel the first approver, followed by the vice president.

- Please include background information, evidence of previous reviewers (such as a department head or the Office of General Counsel) and any relevant explanations for the vice president.
Andrea McDaniel
Andrea McDaniel serves as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Finance and Administration. She manages the vice president’s office and schedule, prepares the vice president’s daily agenda, arranges his travel, and coordinates DFA events. Andrea is the contact for obtaining the vice president’s signature on official documents. Andrea has more than 20 years experience supporting executives in the private sector and in higher education. She joined OSU in 2002, and prior to joining the Division of Finance and Administration in 2021, she supported OSU's Provost and Executive Vice President. She holds a BS in Animal Science from Oregon State University.

Melanie Rose
As Manager of DFA Strategic Initiatives, Melanie Rose supports the vice president on major strategic and administrative initiatives, and oversees division-wide communications. Melanie provides for the logistical and planning needs of the DFA leadership team, assisting the vice president in advancing division and university goals. She collaborates across the OSU community to coordinate DFA work within OSU’s culture of shared governance. Melanie joined the vice president’s office in 2011 and currently serves as a faculty senator. She holds a BA in speech communication with minors in writing and Spanish from Oregon State University.
